About the society

AASS (Atheist, Agnostic and Secular Society) is a University of Bristol Union society aiming to provide discussion of topical issues from atheist, agnostic, humanist and secular viewpoints, support for students interested in finding out more about them, and of course frequent socials.

We run a regular Tuesday evening meeting at The Colston Arms pub on St Michael’s Hill (formerly Micawbers), usually starting at 8pm and including a round-table discussion. We also hold talks from academics and luminaries, from both secular and religious perspectives, and a variety of other activities including meetings with other societies, debates, socials, outings and anything else we can think of. We are an inclusive and friendly society, and interested persons of all stripes are welcome to attend, so if you are interested please email us or come to our regular meeting.
